Consultant – Models and Prototypes, London

We’re seeking a Consultant to join our Development Centre team in London, where you’ll deliver high-quality functional and visual models, support prototype testing, and help shape the future of product design.

In this hands-on role, you’ll produce parts manually from drawings, finish CNC-machined and rapid-prototyped parts, and create silicone tools to operate vacuum-casting machinery. Your expertise will ensure that all parts are meticulously assembled into finished models with precise colour, texture, and tolerance adherence. You’ll also operate and maintain 3D printing equipment, laser cutters, and spray finishes to bring designs to life.

Collaboration is key at PDD. You’ll work closely with designers, offering consultancy on manufacturing methods to achieve the desired outcomes. Additionally, you’ll contribute to the maintenance of the Development Centre, support material ordering, and ensure that completed models are securely dispatched.

We’re looking for a skilled professional with excellent hand model-making abilities, manual machine competence, and proficiency in 3D CAD, NC programming, and 3D printing. Strong attention to detail, creative problem-solving skills, and a passion for innovation are essential.
