GentleCath Air catheter wins the iF Award

We are pleased to announce that the GentleCath Air intermittent catheter – a recent PDD healthcare project – has won the iF Design Award.

Regarded as a symbol of design excellence around the world, the iF Design Award recognises the patient-centric design and innovation of GentleCath Air. Through a series of Human Centred Design activities, appealing design and innovative engineering, the PDD team integrated optimal user experience with the discreet and non-medical appearance of the AirCase™.

The intuitive and unique GuideTip™ and FreshSleeve™ are designed to help users locate and insert the catheter without touching the tube, allowing simple, dry and mess-free cathing while helping to reduce the risk of contamination.  The AirCase™ is also resealable so that used catheters can be stored until disposal is possible.
